Humberstone the Hypocrite

John Humberstone the ex-independent councillor for the Smithfield ward in Wrecsam has been selected to stand for the United Kingdom Independance Party for Wrecsam at the next Westminster election. John has done the rounds of the political parties -SDP, Plaid Cymru, Forward Wales, Libertas and now UKIP. Now UKIP seems a strange choice of party for an internationalist like John Humberstone who has his fingers in many pies when it comes to 'providing services' to the Polish community in Wrecsam i.e housing and jobs.
For someone who benefits to such an extent from migration it seems to be crass hypocrisy and acting against one's economic interests to support an anti-immigration party such as UKIP. We can but wonder if John Humberstone's decision has caused a rift between him and his mentor that other great internationalist our ex AM and MP, John Marek!

So....being an internationalist means unbridled immigration. Really, you should have joined the Labour party.

Sorry but I'm missing your point, where do I mention unbridled immigration?

So....you don't belive in unbridled immigration.....I don't think UKIP would like to stop immigration 100% either. So, I don't see your point in calling them anti-immigration.

Perception is reality and what is people's perception of UKIP...?

Isn't UKIP just "BNP Lite"?

So....I find that you....and many in Plaid nowadays and Labourites shout 'anti-immigration' at the drop of a hat. This is meant to be on more or less a par with being racist. But once questioned....you claim that you are not for unbridled immigration but where is your cut off point....god only knows. Plaid, along with Labour are too cowardly to discuss the issue. Of course, Labour created a Plaid which is like this.....in fact, they've defined what is acceptable and unacceptable. The latest I heard which made me laught is that Labour are now intending to make it socially unacceptable to oppose the building of wind turbines in your locality. Some form of normalization/demonization once again. A term which many Plaidis seem to now like using ie normalization. In fact, what is there to choose between Labour, Plaid, Lib Dems and the Conservatives under nice Dave. At least UKIP actually stand out for something different....and alternative. But I won't vote for them as they are to English for my liking. At the moment, there's hardly anybody in my opinion worth voting for.

I'd agree with the last Anon that the big three London parties look and sound the same, all bidding to outdo each other in punishing the public sector for the wrongdoing of the banking and financial sector.
Plaid, on the other hand, is different - we want to impose a maximum wage on the super-rich, defend the public sector and not go on a witch-hunt against those claiming Disability benefits.
Wales has been getting progressively poorer over the past 20 years in comparison with the rest of the UK - we are now at 75% of the UK's average wealth.
The UK is failing Wales badly - that's not a message you'll hear from any of the big London parties.

Hate to say it but what Plaid are saying about John Humberstone seem mainly speculation and somewhat slanderous, I would probably not be willing to say such things unless I was absolutely certain what I was saying was factual, lawsuits are made and won over these kinds of things. You can't go around dragging peoples names through the dirt and hope their will be no reprocussions. Maybe people should make their own opinions up regarding the UKIP rather than listen to byist propaganda from opposing parties

Just goes to show how narrow minded and ignorant Plaid Cymru really are: The UK includes Wales your ignoramuses, its you who are failing the UK, with your isolationist tunnelled thinking which borders on racism, UKIP is not anti-European at all and it is certainly not racist,it just happens to believe that unelected bureaucrats in Brussells should not be making 8 out of every 10 laws that we have to abide by in the UK. if you care to go to the UKIP site and listen to Nigel Farage its probably the most sensible and honest speech you have ever heard from a politician. I wonder if their Cardiff masters (who are in bed with Labour for a share of the top jobs) are suitably embarrased by the Foolsome foursome that make up the Plaid contingent of Wrexham Council, their repeated attacks on the MP and some of the Labour councillors will surely not go unpunished by the party grandee in Cardiff??

John Humberstone was a candidate for Libertas at the European Elections. They criticised UKIP in the run up to the elction on their website.

What a load of codswallop these PC guys come out with, John Humberstone was never a member of Forward Wales and he only stood for Libertas because like most of us he thinks the EU autocrats in Brussells are ruining this country, anyone except the tories evidently know that thanks to the LISBON TREATY we are not able to control immigration from the 26 member states of the EU and thats why UKIP say we should get out of the EU, but like 60 other nations continue to have strong trading links, we are the EUs biggest customer they need us more than we need them.
