Don Toughig was the most vocal MP in keeping expenses secret from the public. Good riddance!
Betsan reckons there is one more to go with Kim and Don...Paul Murphy perhaps. Now that would be good for the future of devolution in Wales. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/thereporters/betsanpowys/2010/01/one_two.html
They're leaving these announcements late to bypass the local selection procedure. It means the party centrally can parachute in a favoured candidate... no doubt Touhig will be rewarded with a peerage.

Does this denote the end of the Mesozoic Age of politics, when dinosaurs ruled the world?
Alan,
Probably! if Murphy goes as well you could say its the start of a new age except that Hain is still there!
Hopefully, after the election in May Hain will be History.
Don't suppose Neath Port Talbot Council's announcement of big job losses will do much for Mr Hain's chances will it!
