Joining the crusade

Some Wrexham football fans have been non-plussed by the publicity and hype surrounding the Crusaders coming to the Racecourse. My knowledge of rugby league started in the 70s with the Eddie Wareing era of Big Jim Mills and other larger-than-life characters.

Jonathan Davies switching codes prompted hundreds of fans to travel across the border to watch Welsh players at Widnes or Wigan.

Now we've got the chance to see them on our doorstep and there's a real buzz about tomorrow night's game. It's something the town needs and I can't wait.

And if this is anything to go by, it's going to be a sell-out crowd.
