Councillor Louise Hughes.

I had to laugh when I saw this story in today's Daily Post, yes Louise Hughes the Llais Gwynedd Councillor for Llanegryn is to stand as an INDEPENDENT in the General Election against Elfyn Llwyd in Meirionnydd Dwyfor...what is the point? Clearly other members of Llais Gwynedd are opposed to this otherwise Louise would have stood as a Llais Gwynedd candidate.

Incidentally the prospective Llais Gwynedd candidate in next year Assembly elections for Meirionnydd Dwyfor, Councillor Gwilym Euros Roberts, has been charged with two counts of assault and is due to appear before Dolgellau Magistrates on the 29th April 2010.

I wonder how much longer Llais Gwynedd will last as a political entity?

I wonder if she can afford to loose £500 deposit?

Has Llais Gwynedd taken the Monster Raving Looney Party's place as the joke party?

I hope you've seen the latest issue of Private eye (Page 8) on UKIP's Wrexham candidate.

The MRLP had some sensible policies like voting at 16, don't know if LlG have any policies except to oppose everuthing Plaid does.

One thing you gotta say about Louise Hughes is that she's good at self-publicity. Get's herself into the local rag every week.

Last week she made the front page again, this time posing with a lavatory bowl that 'someone' had placed in a lay-by as a protest against the council's policy of closing public lavatories.

The worry locally is that Loo-ise has developed something of an obsession with lavatories. Does she realise that general elections are about lots of different issues?

Does she realise nominations close next Tuesday and there's a shed load of forms to be filled in.

Heard that Louise has got her 10 names and she doesn't care if she loses her £500 deposit. Also she's resigning from LlG tomorrow, so now they are down to 12 Councillors.

GER now locked up for Attempted Murder! I wonder what the decision of the Llais Gwynedd emergency meeting will be, they've got to suspend him surely. You cannot let him continue.

funny though, to us locals she does more about things we care about, and yes that does include the closure of toilets however laughable you think that is.... and of course local schools which Plaid have lost loads of votes on. In fact she is a lot more accessible than the current Plaid MP. So think on before you mock her.

I think your party should concentrate on your own issues rather than having cheap digs at Louise Hughes. She obviously worries you otherwise you wouldnt mention her name. She is committed to her cause which is a lot more than can be said for Plaid over the past few years.

Very good of Plaid Cymru. They stand in seats where nthey have absoloutely no hope o fbeing in the first 3 biut yet they stand. It took them about 20 years to win a seat so why take the mick. I admire her for standing ,she cant be any worse than the fat slob that is there already.
