A Pragmatic View.
Rhodri Glyn Thomas's pragamatic view on what needs to happen to protect front line services is to be welcomed and I'm glad I'm not alone in the belief that there are massive savings to be made within the public services in Wales. It may well be unpalatable to cut back on jobs but it is totally irresponsible to waste taxpayers money on keeping people in non existent jobs. Perhaps now that the matter has been raised by an ex Minister we can have an open and frank discussion on what needs to be done rather than burying our heads in the sand and hoping that the cuts will go away...they won't.
