Second Generation Kinnocks

HT to Jeff Rees for this little gem about the son of Neil and Glenys Kinnock continuing the champagne socialist tradition of his parents. They really are like an European Royal Family, Stephen Kinnock is married to the leader of the Social Democrats in Denmark, Helle Thorning Schmidt; who is likely to be the next Prime Minister of Denmark.

I fear that Helle might not make it to be PM.

Kinnock junior is having a slight disagreement with the Danish tax authorities, & this is rather tarnishing his spouse's prospects.

So sad

... wonder is ap Kinnock has bothered learning Danish?

A language which was in danger or losing out to German in the 19C (the nobility prefered speaking German etc - sound familiar?). But people like Grundtvik setp up the Folkschools http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Folk_high_school to give education in the native language to the Danish people, so unlike Wales's Labour movement.

The folkschools influenced DJ Davies, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_James_Davies ) the great Plaid economist and were one of the reasons he left the ILP/Labour movement and became a Welsh nationalist.

Just a thought ;-)

Another Kinnock bringing home the (Danish) bacon. There are so many scams in that family it's like an upmarket episode of Shameless.
