The Daily Fail

The Daily Mail screwed up spectacularly tonight by accidentally publishing on the Mail Online website the WRONG story about the Amanda Knox appeal hearing in Perugia, stating that her appeal against the conviction for the murder of Meredith Kercher had been rejected

HT to @SimonNRicketts for the screen print before the Mail Online managed to pull the story down.

Just goes to show just how poor the journalism at the Mail really is.

In the race to publish, accuracy goes out through the window.

UPDATE - To read the whole fantasy and the 'made up' quotes go here

There must surely be some serious repercussions here for the Mail.

What it does show that the so called quotes that journalists attribute to people are often made up.

The attributions would have been no more true if the Mail had reported the right verdict.

We now live in a world of 24 hour news where the credibility of all news media is suspect .
