We know ...This seems pretty straight forward to me. We know that thousands of local people need houses. We also know that many of the new unaffordable developments are currently sitting empty. It's about time these new builds started to benefit local people. Given that many are close to the Hightown flats and would allow local people to stay in the area, I think it's crazy that this option has not even been considered. I'd much prefer that these new builds were not there at all, but seeing as they are, let's get some positive benefits for the local community out of them.Plaid Queenswayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10754935582084298585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-691671699575405507.post-21779604829375560832009-11-09T08:59:45.516+00:002009-11-09T08:59:45.516+00:00Just being pragmatic, the flats in the private sec...Just being pragmatic, the flats in the private sector are already there, the social housing won't be built until the Hightown flats are demolished which is years away. Cllr George James complimented the Council in the constructive and sensitive way it had consulted with residents. There were several residents at the Exec Board meeting and there were ... Did you support residents wishes at Offa Community Council?<br />The point I am making is that by only using void social housing in the County Borough, it could take years before the flats are demolished and new housing built in their place and that will mean more on the housing lists. So I think you are the one in need of a reality check and to stop whingeing and try to come up with something positive for a change.Plaid Gwersyllthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13986006252463873835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-691671699575405507.post-78589489769676193792009-11-08T16:54:13.135+00:002009-11-08T16:54:13.135+00:00Don't forget that there are real people with f...Don't forget that there are real people with feelings about to loose their homes!!!!! and don't think the anti-social behaviour will disappear OH NO !!!!!!!!!!!!
